Film theatre in Oudenbosch with a 'better' film every Thursday in the Utopia Hall at Markland College.

Every Thursday evening, Filmtheater Fanfare in Oudenbosch shows a film. When programming, artistic and/or cultural added value is decisive. Every now and then, a film is preceded by an extra-informative lecture and, increasingly, an activity is also organised on other days.

We will close the season with a film that was a great success in its home country (Ukraine!). After the film, we will offer snacks and drinks to all guests and toast to the past season. And perhaps also to the freedom we get to enjoy.

Varya trained as a chef and very much wants to work in a top restaurant. For now, however, she got no further than a café at a petrol station, where she gets fired too. She gets little support at home; her mother thinks she should be realistic. This is the last straw for Varya: she packs her things and leaves for Lviv, to pursue her dream.

"Taste of freedom" is a compelling and inspiring film, steeped in the rich culture and culinary traditions of Ukraine. With beautiful cinematography and strong performances, director Oleksandr Berezan impressively manages to bring Varya's story to life as she pursues her dreams on the atmospheric streets of Lviv."
