Listening lecture Music of the United States

Exciting, the elections on 5 November 2024. But even more exciting and interesting is this country's music history. From the melting pot of the music of Native Americans (the Indians), African-Americans and European immigrants, something special did emerge. This changed music enormously during the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries. Even stronger: it changed the world. Isn't that a bit of an exaggeration? Come and listen.

During the lecture, Leo Wolfs explains some of it with lots of music and images. Listening lectures are lectures full of musical and artistic inspiration for people with a broad outlook who want to push their boundaries. Includes coffee/tea and glass of wine/consumption in the interval.

Location
The listening lecture will take place in the Cuyperszaal (under the Basilica - entrance via Pelgrim 2 on Doelpad) in Oudenbosch. The hall will open half an hour before the start. The lecture is twice an hour with a break during which there will be an opportunity for further discussion.
