Listening lecture English classical music
What role do English composers play within classical music? Which composers are important? Are there any common characteristics?
We will enjoy music by Sir Edward Elgar, Ralph Vaughan Williams and Benjamin Britten. And, of course, the Night of the Proms is not to be missed.
After Leo Wolfs' lecture, few participants will say, "It's not my cup of tea".
During the lecture, Leo Wolfs explains some of it with lots of music and images. Listening lectures are lectures full of musical and artistic inspiration for people with a broad outlook who want to push their boundaries. Includes coffee/tea and glass of wine/consumption in the interval.
Location
The listening lecture will take place in the Cuyperszaal (under the Basilica - entrance via Pelgrim 2 on Doelpad) in Oudenbosch. The hall will open half an hour before the start. The lecture is twice an hour with a break during which there will be an opportunity for further discussion.
