The summer holidays are coming to an end and although the temperatures were not always summery, we hope for a beautiful Indian summer! Time for tips for young and old, from active to relaxing: even in late summer, Halderberge is a great place to be.

1. The Plukkerij | For a summer forest
Bosschenhoofd
Who doesn't get happy: a fresh bunch of flowers in the house, or in the camper or caravan of course! In Margrietstraat (how coincidental!) in Bosschenhoofd, you pick them yourself. The nice thing is that sisters Anja and Ilse sow flowers you don't often come across at the florist's. A bucket and scissors will be waiting for you from 4 July to 10 October on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 10:00 to 16:00. Read more about their offerings.Â
2. Canal tour Oudenbosch | sailing enjoyment
Oudenbosch
The long-awaited canal cruise from Oudenbosch has started. From now on, reservations can be made via Waterpoort rondvaarten. Tour boat Merijntje Gijzen is sailing a new route from Oudenbosch to the open water of the Volkerak. The Volkerak is a three province point (Brabant, South Holland and Zeeland). The trip takes about 3.5 hours, during which you sail on the Mark and Dintel rivers all the way to the Manders'sluice at Dinteloord. Along the way, you'll enjoy tasty drinks and snacks from the cosy bar. For now, the next date is 22 August. Further dates will follow soon. Want a special location for a party? 3. Cycling round the farmer | Agricultural cycle route
Halderberge
You really discover the neighbourhood when you go off-road and brave the country roads. And believe us, there are plenty of those in Halderberge. As well as hospitable and proud farmers and agriculturists. Cycle this route and discover the story behind the farm at all 14 locations. With a bit of luck, one of the farm shops will be open and you will score something nice for home. To the route.Â
4. Venturing out on the chopper
Oud Gastel
When the temperatures rise, it is nice to cool down once in a while. On the chopper you tour through the Brabant countryside and get a nice breeze in your face. Also fun to do with a group and visit different locations in Halderberge. You rent them for two hours or a whole day At the Veerhuis in Oud Gastel.Â
5. Beer festival & beer brewing
Oudenbosch & Hoeven
On 25 September, the 4th edition of the Beer Festival in Oudenbosch will take place on the Jezuietenplein. From 14:00 - 20:00, taste the tastiest beers from various breweries. For more information and updates keep their Facebook page watch. Would you rather brew your own beer? During the beer brewing workshop at Brouwerij 't Meuleneind in Hoeven, you will learn how to make beer. You will follow the entire process closely and help the brewer brew the beer. The workshop starts at 9.00 am and lasts until around 5.00 pm. The package costs €59.50 per person, including coffee and sweets in the morning, lunch at noon and a tasting. 6. Summer of love: art and studio route
Halderberge 11 & 12 September
A perfect weekend to be in Halderberge: during the 3rd edition of the art and studio route. With this year's theme 'love & lust', it promises to be a sultry (after)summer. During this weekend, you will have the opportunity to meet several local and regional artists in their studio or exhibition space. You do the route by bike, on foot or by car. The venues are open both Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 - 17:00.
7. The Milk Mystery

An activity for the whole family or with the group of friends? In Halderberge you have several escaperooms, for both indoor and outdoor use. Recently opened: The Milk Mystery on the farm at Rommens Cows. Here you are not locked in a small room... No, you get the entire farm as your playing field. Within 60 minutes, you and your teammates must solve the mystery. The adventure starts with a friendly welcome at the farm. For each participant, there is a nice cup of coffee or tea and a delicious piece of real farmhouse cake.
