Weekend of Science at Tivoli Observatory

Dear young scientist,

Have you ever wondered how to see invisible particles? During the Weekend of Science at Sunday 5 October 2025 we invite you to Tivoli observatory in order to gamma radiation and discover other particles with a real spray chamber!

A haze chamber is a super cool invention that allows you to see traces of particles such as alpha, beta and gamma rays. These particles fly through the air, sometimes even from space, and you can follow them with your own eyes! We show you how these particles leave traces and how you can discover where they come from, such as cosmic rays or radioactive decay. It's like being a detective in the world of particle physics!
