Dinosaurs descend on Het Natuurhistorisch en Volkenkundig Museum Oudenbosch

The Oudenbosch Museum of Natural History and Ethnology is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year with a special activity for young visitors. On Friday 12 and Saturday 13 July, the museum will be all about fossils during the Palaeontology Weekend.

Especially for this occasion, Jordy Brouwers, better known as @Paleontology Dad, to Oudenbosch. He will bring an impressive selection of fossils from his personal collection - including a real dinosaur egg and bones.

The weekend starts with an interactive children's lecture in which Jordy talks about fossil detection, excavation and preparation in an engaging and accessible way. Of course, there will be plenty of opportunity to ask questions about dinosaurs and other prehistoric finds.

After the lecture, children can get to work themselves in workshops where they learn to view and process fossils - a unique opportunity to be a palaeontologist themselves for a while!

Are you looking for a fun and educational activity during the summer holidays? Then come to the museum on 12 or 13 July. Open from 13:30 - 16:30. With a regular admission ticket, you have access to the children's lecture, the workshops as well as the permanent exhibitions. Children from 10 years old may visit the museum independently on these days. Registration is not necessary.
