Filmtheater Fanfare | The golden spurtle

You wouldn't believe it if a documentary had not been made about it: about the World Oatmeal Championships (or World Porridge Championships) in the village of Carrbridge in the Scottish Highlands, which is already at its 30^ste edition is due.

Not only special because it is an anniversary edition, but also because it will be the last time Charlie Miller will lead the festivities. His declining health is forcing him to pass on the spurtle. We meet the participants, as far away as Australia, who are very much preparing for the important race. And then there is the race itself, of course. The ingredients? Oatmeal, water and salt and maybe a secret extra!
