Every Thursday evening, Filmtheater Fanfare in Oudenbosch shows a film. When programming, artistic and/or cultural added value is decisive. Every now and then, a film is preceded by an extra-informative lecture and, increasingly, an activity is also organised on other days.

Radical is based on a true story and its young cast and lead actor, Mexican superstar Eugenio Derbez, in particular, are widely praised.

The film previously won the Festival Favorite Award at the Sundance Film Festival and the audience award at the Leiden International Film Festival.

Teacher Sergio Correa starts his new school in Matamoros, Mexico, in good spirits. The region is suffering greatly from the local mafia, which has previously stolen the school's computers and is trying to lure the children into the criminal circuit. The school has the worst test scores in the region and Sergio plans to do something about it. He wants to use 'radical' methods to do so, which of course the school leader and his colleagues do not like...
