When new costume films are made, it is obviously done with the resources available now and in a way that best pleases today's viewers. Consider, for example, the possible pomp and circumstance.

Sixth wife Katherine Parr was herself a Protestant and wife of Catholic British Tudor prince Henry VIII at the beginning of the 16^e century in England. As regent, she tries to exert as much influence as possible, not only on her husband, but also when it comes to the interests of the kingdom. When Henry returns ill from the battlefield, he also loses his grip on reality and directs his anger at the Protestant part of the population. This also puts Katherine in danger and she desperately and anxiously does all she can to save the marriage as well as her own life.
