We heard this from various quarters: finally a cheerful film in the cinema again. A Bollywood film, though..., with two men, nít much too long, sóll big dance scenes and made in the US.
Gentle Indian doctor Naveen has made his choice: Jay it is. But he ignores his parents' traditions a bit too easily; apart from both of their orientations, Jay is also white, even though he was adopted as a baby by his Indian foster parents. And then the couple prefer to have a proper Indian wedding too.
We already mentioned that the term 'Bollywood film' doesn't actually quite fit with A nive Indian boy, but the link is there.
"A nice Indian boy is a feel-good romcom full of colourful traditions, big dreams and the search for a place where you can really be yourself." (press kit)
The film is based on Madhuri Shekar's play of the same name.
