Filmtheater Fanfare | Jaws (50th Anniversary Re-issue)

Of course, the screening - on the occasion of the 50^e anniversary of that film - an unusual outing by the movie theatre. But many more colleagues could easily take part in that special screening day. Of course, everyone has already seen the film, but one more time on the big screen we thought was the perfect opportunity.

Who knows how many times the film has been broadcast on television since 1975? Who has read Peter Benchley's original novel?

Just don't expect answers but immerse yourself one more time - pardon the pun - in the thriller that is Jaws wás and ís. The first film to make over $100 million at the box office and win 4 Oscars for best film, best sound(!), best editing and best original music.

Sheriff Martin Brody closes the beach at the Amity Island resort to protect bathers from white shark attacks. The town council thinks otherwise for financial reasons.

Together with marine biologist Matt Hooper and rugged fisherman Quint, Brody sets out to catch the shark.
