Filmtheater Fanfare - The Salt Path (Monday matinee)

The success of a book (The Salt Path by Raynor Winn) does not automatically mean that the film adaptation will do as well. That is what we and the distributor expect, by the way.

Couple Raynor and Moth Winn not only lose their home in the autumn of their lives, but Moth also finds out he is seriously ill. To avoid getting bogged down in misery, they decide to walk the South West Coast Path, hoping that the long journey of more than a thousand kilometres and the English countryside will bring them comfort.

They do not need much and that is just as well because their bank account is as good as empty, but with a tent and only some essentials they start the journey.
