Open Garden Days De Wildert Gardens and Ponds | All about the garden pond!

De Wildert Garden and Ponds, a 2530 m2 garden. Equipped with 3 ponds, the largest of which is 25 metres long, 10 metres wide and 2 metres deep, originally built as a swimming pond, but now a natural pond without filters with fish and green frogs. The garden was landscaped from 1974 with numerous conifers, holly, yew and other flowering shrubs and trees. To rejuvenate the garden, some conifers will be replaced with other flowering shrubs. The planting of groups of perennials provides a lot of colour in the garden, the basic principle being that there should be something flowering in the garden all year round, including in winter. A large conservatory was recently built with a view of the garden all around. Many pond and garden books can be perused here at a large table. While enjoying a cup of coffee or tea, you can browse through the information at your leisure.

Carin Bolders from Steenbergen exhibits her fine works of art made of paverpol, ceramics, clay and/or natural materials during the open garden weekends in the conservatory

Entry to the garden is free during the open garden weekends below. Visits at other times are by appointment. Admission is then €5.00 per person including coffee/tea with cake.
