Filmtheater Fanfare | The Wild North Sea

It is amazing what diver and cameraman Peter van Rodijnen has filmed underwater all over the world in the past 20(!) years. In the process, the unknown underwater world of the North Sea seems to have been forgotten, but he has completely made up for that; after all, the North Sea is our country's largest nature reserve.

Van Rodijnen could not have imagined, and certainly not the viewers of his film, that this North Sea would reveal such a huge variety of plants and animals. Of the 'easy' basking sharks, orcas and tuna, he realises that they are only a part "of a much larger and interconnected system and that the health of the North Sea depends on ALL its inhabitants, from the smallest plankton to the largest shark."

From the press kit we quote, "With stunning and eye-opening images, Peter van Rodijnen reveals a spectacular underwater world, completely unknown to most of us. An unforgettable adventure for young and old alike!" And so it certainly is.
