On Tuesday 22 October, a delegation of about 50 people from the National Timberwolf Pups Association ((grand)children of the Timberwolves) from the United States will visit Oudenbosch as part of their '80th Anniversary Tour of the Timberwolves'. The American 104th infantry division, nicknamed the Timberwolves, liberated Bosschenhoofd, Hoeven and Oudenbosch 80 years ago.
Welcome to wreath laying
After a visit to the basilica and lunch, a wreath-laying ceremony will take place at the Liberation Monument on Wilhelmina Square around 13:15. You are of course welcome to attend the wreath laying.
Hanging flags
The bus carrying the delegation will visit Standdaarbuiten after the wreath-laying ceremony. Do you live along the route on Pastoor Hellemonsstraat, Julianalaan, Wilhelminaplein, Hemiksemstraat and Bornhemweg? Then it would be great if you would hang out your (Dutch) flag on 22 October, as a tribute to our liberators.
