Oudenbosch through the years
Since its first mention in 1275, Oudenbosch has developed from a small settlement on the waterfront to a place of international stature. The town grew into a place of significance:
- The establishment of religious institutions such as the Brothers of Saint Louis
- Construction of the impressive Basilica, inspired by St Peter's in Rome
- The presence of the Zoavas, volunteers who fought for the pope
- The distinctive village scene full of heritage and stories
