Something for everyone

Upstairs in the museum, you will find the Nature Hall with a special character, decorated in the original 19st-century style. Among other things, beautiful life-size dioramas with stuffed animals can be admired here. There is also a small Archaeology exhibition, which is mainly due to Brother Christofoor. He started this collection back in the 1950s.

A new multifaceted exhibition on the White Fathers is on display in the Ethnology Hall. Here, their relationship to Oudenbosch, their mission in Africa, and their fight against the slave trade are highlighted.

The Geology Room displays rocks and fossils. Here you can learn more about the formation and decomposition of rocks and the geological history of the Netherlands. There are also showcases with minerals, including one with minerals that change colour with striking UV light.

Educational and fun, for young and old

A fun scavenger hunt has been set up for children. In the auditorium, there is a special "Do-Table", where objects can be viewed, felt and tried out. There are also colouring pictures and crayons for little ones here, while a cup of coffee, tea and lemonade can also be enjoyed (included in the entrance fee!).

The museum shop sells books, jewellery, minerals, fossils, objects from tropical Africa, photo cards and more. Separate group visits can be booked for primary schools. The museum also participates annually in the Museum Treasures of the Erfgoed Brabant Academy.
